We planned Grandma's Birthday Party for January so that there would be no conflicts with Christmas activities. We had a great turn out, so that was a good plan.
The theme for the birthday party was a Tea Party. Christine and I were in charge of ordering the food and pictures. We had English scones, finger sandwiches and, of course, tea.
I gathered up pictures of Grandma taken in the past 90 years and Christine put them in frames for decorations on the food tables.
Nancy was in charge of the decorations. She got all pink decoration like tablecloths, napkins, plates, etc because pink is Grandma's favorite color. I provided tea cups that she'd received from Grandma over the years and with a lot of creativity, Nancy used them for center pieces on all the tables.
I ordered the cake from Costco. It was delicious.
The boys (Carl, Michael and Steven) were in charge of setting up the room and picking up the food from the restaurant.
Finally, we were ready for the guests to start showing up.
